Looking for ways you can survive the challenges and stresses of unrelenting change, never-ending school reform, and escalating high-stakes accountability? Want to find time within the day to be free from the overwhelming demands of your job to do the "important work" of the principalship? This workshop will help you master effective survival skills and achieve a greater sense of personal well-being by applying the new three Rs of leadership: Resiliency, Renewal, and Reflection. Using humor as a key survival skill, you will learn strategies for managing time and stress, renewing energy and resources to avoid burnout, and keeping a balance between your professional and personal life. Participants will leave this workshop with a handout jam-packed with practical ideas, strategies, and skills to effectively handle the increasing complexities and challenges of school leadership.
