242. The Conflict Within: A Guide to Communication and Conflict Management
Category: School Environment
Time: Sunday, March 3, 1:30pm-3:00pm
Room: Rooms 308 & 309
"The Conflict Within," an interactive workshop that uses theatre improvisation and listening techniques, guides participants through a 10-step process to help them improve communication with students, colleagues, and families. The heart of the workshop's premise is that self-control is the first step in resolving disputes. Another person cannot be forced to change attitudes, points of view, or behavior, but the antagonist can be led to make some desired changes based on how the protagonist acts upon his or her conflicting emotions.
