211. Parents as Partners: A Virtual Goldmine

Category: Relationships
Time: Sunday, March 3, 9:00am-10:30am
Room: Room 307

We must take proactive steps to tap a virtual goldmine-parent power. With each passing grade, parents become less involved. In a highly interactive session, participants will learn to apply specific proven strategies for involving parents-the students' other teacher.

Participants will learn: 1). What research says about parental involvement; 2). What parents wish educators knew; and 3). Interesting ideas to stimulate parent participation.

Presenter(s) for this Session:

Joan Caulfield
President
The Brain, Inc.
Kansas City, MO

Wayne Jennings
Director
The Institute for Learning and Teaching
St. Paul, MN
