Reading Across the Curriculum: Everyone’s a Reading TeacherCategory: Curriculum & Instructional Strategies Southridge Middle School is creating reading teachers out of all content and related arts teachers! Through administrative support and guidance, a strong professional development team, and dedicated teachers, SMS is helping students and faculty better understand how and why we read, strategies to improve reading, and the benefits that can be reaped from reading across the curriculum such as higher test scores and library check-out rates and lower discipline problems.
