102. Special Olympics-Get Into It

If you are interested in a FREE, new curriculum that promotes character and youth development, supports national standards and provides opportunities for service learning, come and learn about a newly released curriculum, SO Get Into It, developed by Special Olympics, Inc. SO Get Into It is a four-lesson curriculum, including videos and other support materials, that was developed for use in the regular education program. It specifically addresses overcoming stereotypes and promotes acceptance and understanding, particularly of students with such disabilities as mental retardation. Session participants will receive an overview of the curriculum and sample lessons will be distributed at the session.
