New Format for 2009
Based on the thoughts and feedback from our Convention attendees and exhibitor representatives, we are pleased to introduce the following new elements for our 2009 Convention in San Diego:
• 2009 Secondary School Showcase on Thursday. The one-day Showcase will be conducted in lieu of the pre-Convention Workshops and School Visits historically held on Thursday. Through the Showcase, NASSP and The Center for Secondary School Redesign (CSSR) will bring teams from high-achieving schools to discuss what they have done, and how––to address today’s leading issues in our schools.
• A Festive Opening Reception in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday, 5:00 p.m.– 7:00 p.m. This new reception will welcome Convention attendees and officially launch the 2009 NASSP Convention & Exposition.
• NEW! Luncheon Format for the Closing General Session on Sunday, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Participation in the Closing General Session Luncheon will be included in an individual’s Convention registration fee (a reservation will be requested). All traditions of Sunday’s Closing General Session will remain the same, including a keynote presentation.
